Challenges
- The varying seat layouts of different vehicles, which were required to be created dynamically into the portal.
- Setting up the different routes, timings, inventory, and business revenue models.
- Identify the target audience's willingness to buy online tickets
- Identifying how the commission structure can be set between bus agents and clients to run this idea.
- Dynamic seat layout that does not exist in designed seat layouts.
Strategic Approach
The client’s requirements were feasible, however, the only challenge was that the dynamic seat layout has to be created at runtime, so dynamic CSS building was required when the layout is not matching with any previously designed bus seat layouts.
Bookmytrip is a startup that is inspired by Redbus, so developing the features inline with the Redbus app was the need of the client and so does our target. We, therefore, studied the workflow of Redbus and identified the features that should be included in the app based on our comprehensive research of the target audience and client’s business. We then identified the feasibility of the app idea, found out what is missing in them, and think of a way to fill the need gap left by them so that the application has an edge over the existing competitors.
This was followed by chalking out a timeline and the specific goals the client wish to achieve against the milestones and figured out how the top-notch technologies can make it happen.
